The withdrawal was started with the celebration of the Eucharist, presided by father Victor-Emilian Dumitrescu, spiritual counselor General of the Magnificat community. This year at Camp welcomed us a huge surprise! A sea turtle Caretta Caretta shortly before dawn on 12 June has arrived on the beach of Camping Village Paestum – just at the point where typically are the umbrellas of lido – and settled 75 eggs! It is the first report of this year in the Cilento coast, only half of the turtles in our country (In addition to the Islands).

The nest, very close to the water's edge, has been moved further back – to protect it from storm surges – by the experts of the Center Anton Dohm of Naples that the last days sleeping next to the nest to witness the hatching, scheduled between 29 July and 2 August

75 turtles will hatch on the beach of our camping site in a few days!!! How wonderful!!!
