{"id":18582,"date":"2024-08-22T18:16:08","date_gmt":"2024-08-22T16:16:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/comunitamagnificat.org\/four-promises\/"},"modified":"2025-01-22T17:26:35","modified_gmt":"2025-01-22T16:26:35","slug":"four-promises","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/comunitamagnificat.org\/en\/four-promises\/","title":{"rendered":"Four Promises"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong><em>I give you a new commandment:<\/em><\/strong><br\/><strong><em>That you love one another.<\/em><\/strong><br\/><strong><em>As I have loved you,<\/em><\/strong><br\/><strong><em>so also love one another<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<cite>John 13:34<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p>Tarcisio Mezzetti again-in the summer of 1978-was at the origin of this very important trait of community spirituality, so important that it became the core of the<em>Covenant Commitment<\/em> that Community members renew annually.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p>&#8220;I want from the Community four promises: poverty, permanent forgiveness, love building and service.&#8221;\nThis is what a &#8220;voice&#8221; commanded Tarcisio that day as he stood in prayer in the church of his own parish &#8211; San Donato all&#8217;Elce &#8211; in the university district of Perugia where he then lived. <\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p>It is the living voice of Tarcisio who tells us what happened and how the Community accepted and made that prophecy its own:<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:15%\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:60%\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\"> \n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"&quot;Voglio quattro promesse&quot;\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/nsuLIcjyHqw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer;
