{"id":19274,"date":"2024-08-23T07:41:03","date_gmt":"2024-08-23T05:41:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/comunitamagnificat.org\/the-statute-between-2013-and-2023\/"},"modified":"2024-08-23T07:41:19","modified_gmt":"2024-08-23T05:41:19","slug":"the-statute-between-2013-and-2023","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/comunitamagnificat.org\/en\/the-statute-between-2013-and-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"The statute between 2013 and 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em><strong>As for me and my house,<\/strong><\/em><br\/><em><strong>we will serve the Lord<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<cite><em>Joshua<\/em> 24, 15<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p><strong>Between 2013 and 2020<\/strong>, the Community, because of its growth and internationalization, at the urging of Monsignor Gualtiero Bassetti, Archbishop of Perugia, began <strong>a dialogue with the <em>Pontifical Council for the Laity<\/em> for recognition by a Vatican body rather than a diocesan one<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p>A new commission was established that worked broadly and aimed at the involvement of all allies.\nAt the end of this long process of reflection, in the fall of <strong>2020<\/strong>, <strong>the Community submitted a text of Statutes for approval by the <em>Dicastery for the Laity, Family and Life<\/em><\/strong>, which replaced the former <em>Pontifical Council<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p>In <strong>2021<\/strong> a diaologue was established between the Community and the <em>Dicastery <\/em>fianlized to the final approval of the Community and its Statute.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p>In <strong>May 2023<\/strong>, Cardinal Kevin J. Farrell, Prefect of the <em>Dicastery for the Laity, Family and Life<\/em>, reported that<strong> the draft statutes <\/strong>under consideration by the <em>Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith<\/em>, <strong>did not reveal any doctrinal problems<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p>On <strong>Oct. 19, 2023<\/strong>, Cardinal Farrell, in a letter addressed to Moderator General Maria Rita Castellani, informed the Community that<strong> the Dicastery over which he presides had resolved to proceed with the recognition of the Magnificat Community as an international association of the faithful<\/strong>, <strong>approving its Statutes<\/strong>, <em>ad experimentum<\/em>, for five years.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\"> \n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Positivamente concluso l&#039;iter di approvazione dello Statuto della Comunit\u00e0!\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/H5K0gZ0H3Wo?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n <\/div><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p>On the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, <strong>Dec. 8, 2023<\/strong>, the <strong>Decree of Approval was signed<\/strong> by Cardinal Kevin Farrell, Prefect of the <em>Dicastery for the Laity, Family and Life<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><picture data-lightbox=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/comunitamagnificat.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Farrell.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10130\"\/><\/picture><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">His Eminence, Cardinal Kevin J.
