After more than fifteen years of community life – following discernment to become a single community reality instead of a collection of “sister communities” – it was the Archbishop of Perugia Monsignor Ennio Antonelli who gave theinput<\/em> so that a normative text could be written to give the Community unity and stability.<\/p>\n\n

<\/div>\n\n

Therefore, in January 1994, he established a committee of community members to draft a charter.<\/p>\n\n

<\/div>\n\n

At the end of that work, on Oct. 15, 1995, the Archbishop officially recognized the Magnificat Community as a private association of the lay faithful<\/em> in accordance with the Code of Canon Law<\/em> and, at the same time, approved its Statute<\/em>, called and considered by the members of the Community as a Rule of Life<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n
