Angelo Spicuglia has given to the presses, for Magnificat Editions<\/a>, his latest work, different and more personal than his three previous books, centered on the figure of Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here is how he himself, in the book’s introduction, defines it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These pages describe the highlights of Jesus’ life, divided into eight chapters.In the first two, the mystery of theIncarnation<\/em><\/strong> (on both the historical and spiritual sides) and the period of Jesus’ childhood<\/em><\/strong> with a view to his years of silent life<\/em><\/strong> lived alongside Mary and Joseph.From the third to the fifth chapter develops the journey with Jesus through the streets of Palestine<\/em><\/strong> more than two thousand years ago, starting from the beginning of the public ministry, through the discourses<\/em><\/strong>, the parables<\/em><\/strong> and the miracles <\/em><\/strong>of the Lord.Chapter six will immerse the reader in the contemplation of the passion and death on the cross<\/em><\/strong>.Immediately following chapters seven and eight will introduce the joy of the resurrection<\/em><\/strong> through the help of Mary<\/em><\/strong>, concluding with a reflection on the missionary scope of the mystery of Christ.<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It would be nice if the reading of these pages could leave one with a deep and genuine sense of an everyday life in which one experiences God’s closeness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In fact, it was precisely through small acts, work, and family relationships, Jesus showed the value of ordinary life<\/em><\/strong>, lived in communion with God, teaching the importance of faithfulness in simple tasks and preparation time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With his acts of compassion and his words still relevant today, Christ transformed the hearts of his hearers<\/em><\/strong> and, therefore, the other desire that animates this text is that such gestures and words continue to echo in the hearts of those who read and vibrate to the ends of the world and time.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
