“I love you very much!”

General Community Leaders met with the Archbishop of Perugia – Città della Pieve, Monsignor Gualtiero Bassetti.

On Monday, July 12, 2010, the General Managers of the Community, were scheduled to meet with Archbishop Gualtiero Bassetti to discuss some issues together. Nothing special. What is special, however, is the affection that the Magnificat Community’s Ecclesiastical Leader shows us on every occasion when he meets someone from our Community.

A small sign that made our beloved pastor as well as the Leaders present smile was noticing that on the wall of the Bishop’s Hall where the audience was “coincidentally” taking place, right above the chair where the Archbishop had been seated, towered a beautiful icon of theAgnus Dei, painted by Ginette Girardet, with the inscription “COMMUNITY MAGNIFICAT” on the hem of the Virgin’s robe, in every way similar to the one that shows itself on the home page of our website and at each of our meetings.

Those in charge who were present then recounted that before dismissing them with a blessing, Monsignor Bassetti said these words to them,“Now you go away but I remain with you… because I love you very much!“
