Parish missions
Here: I stand at the door and knock.
Revelation 3:20
If someone hears my voice
And opens the door for me,
I will come to him,
I will dine with him and he with me
In the community experience, there was certainly no lack of help to parishes, given in a multiplicity of forms, for the needs that the Fraternities could meet. In certain cases – not many, but still significant – parish priests asked some Fraternities to make a real mission aimed at all the inhabitants of the parish territory.
This kind of experience involves a series of activities through which to reach out to all parishioners, over a fairly extended period of time, to address the proclamation of the Gospel to them and invite them to participate in a community moment in the main church, where, for an entire week, catecheses of the Seminary of New Life are held, at the end of which an outpouring of the Holy Spirit is invoked for the whole parish and for every single person who so desires.
