The 1995 Rule of Life

After more than fifteen years of community life – following discernment to become a single community reality instead of a collection of “sister communities” – it was the Archbishop of Perugia Monsignor Ennio Antonelli who gave theinput so that a normative text could be written to give the Community unity and stability.
Therefore, in January 1994, he established a committee of community members to draft a charter.
At the end of that work, on Oct. 15, 1995, the Archbishop officially recognized the Magnificat Community as a private association of the lay faithful in accordance with the Code of Canon Law and, at the same time, approved its Statute, called and considered by the members of the Community as a Rule of Life.
