“Dreaming God’s Dream”

Community is a project of God.

Community members want to be builders of this project, which is not theirs, being shown to them one step at a time.

Many times it was found that the direction in which the Spirit was pushing was different from what was imagined; often the Community was confronted with its own fallibility, which led away from the right path, to which it then had to return.

God has big dreams, men’s dreams are small; that is why it is always necessary to question ourselves, to give up what we seem to have already achieved and what we seem to have understood when the Lord unveils a new dimension of his dream.

The expression “Dreaming God’s Dream” comes from a famous teaching given by Tarcisio Mezzetti, at the Franciscan Cenacle of St. Mary of the Angels, on March 10, 1985. It had a great impact in the Community of that time and, even to the present, continues to be a strong source of inspiration.
